Safety vs Security

This post is more of an exercise in thinking about ourselves instead of being very instructive. Sometimes it can be more important to look inward for information rather than outward.

What does safety mean to you?

What does security mean to you?

If we are secure in ourselves, does that make situations more or less safe?

How we learned to think about the world around us is significant when having the conversations of safety and security. Did we learn to be anxious about our world from the adults we grew up around?

Did we learn that we are good enough and safe, no matter what?

What do we want to believe about the world and ourselves now that the world may be different?

How is our world different now?

How is our power in situations different now?

What do we have control over?

All of this affects our sense of safety and security in the world.

What would make your world feel more secure or safe?

How would that change your actions or how you move in your world?
