About Me
I am currently a Clinical Social Work Intern, working under supervision as I complete my Master of Social Work degree at National University. My focus includes grief and loss, faith transitions, and support for the LGBTQ community. I am passionate about helping clients realize intentional evolution while honoring their personal values. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors in both individual and group settings, and I consider it a privilege to join each client on their journey of discovery and healing.
Personal Philosophy
I believe that everyone has the intrinsic capacity for healing and progression. My philosophy is rooted in honoring emotional experiences while focusing on resilience and personal truths. I deeply value the personal work of finding meaning and purpose in life, even amidst the most challenging circumstances. My role as a therapist is to create a safe space that supports vulnerability, growth, and the development of a strong sense of self.
Specialties and Areas of Focus
– Grief and Loss: Helping adolescents and adults navigate and understand their grief
– Religious Transition & Faith Crisis: Supporting identity exploration and creating a personal value set
– LGBTQ Affirming Therapy: Affirming identity and self-love while navigating unique challenges
– Anxiety, depression, and identity development
Therapeutic Approach
My practice is grounded in a Humanistic framework and integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a foundation. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and psychoeducation to support client goals. I strive to create an environment free from judgment, where vulnerability and exploration can flourish, tailoring interventions to the unique needs of each client.
